 The Fundraising Committee is excited to launch the 2017 Recurring Donation Drive! (ending September 17, 2017)
All SAMA members who commit to a recurring monthly donation for one year will be eligible to win education opportunites during a Live Drawing! Like any nonprofit organization or small business, many of SAMA's expenses come due every month, however our major income period is surrounding the annual conference. In an effort to more effectively budget our day to day expenses, we are promoting a year-round giving plan to give all members an opportunity to budget their giving, while helping us manage our budget! We hope you will help us to continue to prosper and grow.
We have 3 amazing workshops that have generously been donated by Orsoni Smalti Veneziani, Chicago Mosaic School and Mosaic Arts Online. We are grateful that our sponsors are willing to step up again when they already give so much. We cannot thank them enough!

How the Recurring Donation Drive will work
Sign up NOW for an amount that you are comfortable donating monthly, you will receive a thank you note confirming this donation via email. (If you do not receive a thank you email confirmation let us know!!) Once your donation is confirmed, you will be entered into the drawing.
- DEADLINE TO QUALIFY FOR DRAWING, Sunday, September 17, 3pm EST.
- SAMA Executive Director, Dawnmarie Zimmerman, will draw the winners live at 3pm EST, Sunday, September 17, 2017 on SAMA's Facebook Page!
- With a $25 monthly donation or more and you are eligible to win an Orsoni 2018 Workshop.
- With a $10, $15, or $20 monthly donation, you will be eligible for the Mosaic Arts Online Workshop with Tami Macala and the Chicago Mosaic School Jewelry Workshop drawing.
The Orsoni Workshop drawing will occur first and all remaining tickets from the $25 + donors will be added to the pool for the drawing of the Mosaic Arts Online and Chicago Mosaic School workshops. Only one award per participant. If you have already signed up for a recurring donation you will be automatically put into the raffle.
About the Prizes
 Orsoni Master in Mosaic Class
Orsoni will offer a five day class to the winner of the contest to be attended within in 2018.
(the 2018 Orsoni Master in Mosaic Class calendar is not ready yet, winner will be sent details).
Orsoni, an internationally renowned manufacturer of Venetian glass and gold mosaics since 1888, offers intensive courses in mosaic art for Italian- or English-speaking students. Courses include:
- Master in Mosaic (5 days)
- "Thematic classes" in micro-mosaic or portraiture (5 days)
Drawing Prize does not include travel or transportation, lodging, meals or personal expenses.
 The Chicago Mosaic School Weekend Jewelry Workshop
A fun three hour workshop, you will design and complete two mosaic pendants from start to finish to express your own personal, one-of-a-kind style. A range of studio materials, such as glass, stone, and millefiori will be available for cutting and setting. Basic mosaic glass cutting techniques and ideal adhesives will be covered for each of the two types of jewelry bases. No prior mosaic experience is necessary; use of tools and all materials are included.
